Grow
up to 3 cm tall forming thick fleshy crust attached to sandy-rocky
substrate by rhizoids
Composed
of many vesicular segments laterally and compactly adjoined to each
other by hapteroid cells.
The clavate
vesicle (segment) are slightly constricted at the bases and are arranged
in layers with two or five daughter vesicles arising from a parent
vesicle.
These
are filled with fluid when fresh and 4 - 6.3 mm long, 1 - 1.6 mm in
diameter.
